Q. Why was the 2020 Conference postponed?

A. With the uncertainties of COVID-19 affecting budgets, travel abilities, and possible lack of attendance, the decision was made to postpone the 20th Annual AL/MS/TN Rural Tourism Conference to October 18-20, 2021. If you have already registered you may ask for a refund or let your registration roll over to the 2021 conference.


Q. Who is encouraged to attend this conference?

A. Anyone who works in tourism, economic development, is a member of city council or an elected official, or public service and has an interest in networking with professionals in the tourism industry and attending educational sessions that will expand your opportunities to promote tourism to your area. The emphasis is upon tourism in rural areas.

Q. Do I have to contribute to the silent auction or spirits pull in order to participate?

A. NO! Any attendee of the conference is highly encouraged to purchase a spirits pull ticket or place bids for the silent auction. We would greatly appreciate your support.


Q. What is the dress code for the conference?

A. Business casual attire is recommended for all conference meetings.  Casual or business casual attire is recommended for the pre-conference tour and both receptions.
